My New Friend

I have a new friend who has moved into my eye. His name is Stye. We are not best friends, actually I think we are frenemies.

Here come the hot washcloths and prayers that it doesn't get any worse (you can't really see it now, unless you are really looking.)

Copycat

Back to back posts! Booyah!

So, I have come to the conclusion that I am a world-class copycat, and I am totally fine with it. Whenever I see something that I really like or think is a good idea, I will copy it. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery guys, so feel flattered.

This last week at Church I saw this girl wearing the cheap-o fake nails from the grocery store but they actually looked really good. So what did I do yesterday? Went to Smith's and bought the same ones. I have been on like a ten year quest to kick the nail-biting habit, so this sounded like a really promising idea. Especially since it is so expensive to always be getting your nails done just so you don't bite them.

Much to my dismay, however, I have claws whereas this girl has nice petite hands. They look horrible on me, but I am trying to stick it out for a week. I am already planning on going home during lunch and filing them way dwon. I can't even function with these daggers on my fingertips. Whatever, I guess that's what I get for being a copycat.

P.S. I don't do New Years' Resolutions, but I guess you could say that nail-biting is mine for this year. (I just really needed an intro to bring up New Years's Resolutions) So on the topic of resolutions, why is it everyone and their dog's reslution to run a marathon? Seriously, I am happy if I can run around the block. You guys are making me look bad. I think one of my life-long resolutions is to never have to run anything resembling a marathon. In all seriousness though, I think it is a major achievement to be complete a half, full , or even 10k, so I don't mean any offense...I just hate running.

Keepin' it all in the family

This past week Chris and I added yet another automobile to the family. This makes for a total of seven cars owned in the past two years of marriage. Impressive, no?

This time we pawned the beemer off on Chris's brother and got a steal of a deal from my parents on their 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe. That's right, I traded German for Asian...but it is definitely an upgrade. Plus, hopefully it won't cost twice as much to get fixed when something breaks.

This one obviosly is not mine judging by the Dubai plates.

Both my mom and I were kind of sad to see our cars go, but since we kept it all in the family we can still cruise in our old rides if we really want to. Because once Spring hits, I am really going to miss the California top.

P90X

It has arrived. I find myself really struggling to work out for longer than thirty minutes a the gym, especially because the one at work is so small. So, I have decided to start working out at home. The past three weeks have been very successful.
Now get ready as I prepare to sculpt myself into a roman goddess with P90X. (Which means I will probably wimp out and go back to my Pilates tapes in two weeks.)
Seriously though, I am excited. So excited, in fact, that I gorged myself on Peanut M&M's and now have a stomach ache. Let's face it, I have no self-control.

Mirrors

Is it possible that the mirrors at my work make me look fatter than I truly am? Because, seriously, everyday I leave my house in the morning with adequate self-esteem and then when I go to the bathrrom at work it's like "chunk-zilla" has arisen.

It's not that bad, but it is kind of weird. I am chalking it up to the mirrors and calling it good. I think it might also be that they show how short I really am.

Got it.

I think I finally settled on a background I can live with. Due to my indecisiveness which has been displayed over the past couple of days with the 75 different backgrounds I have gone through, this is a major accomplishment.
