Loan

So, I got online today to kill off the last of my student loan I took out for my Study Abroad (years ago) and I saw that the balance said $0. Curioous, I called the lender and asked about it. They said that last week my loan had been randomly chosen among other small balance loans to be paid off by the lender. Since their payment went through on the 22nd of the month, I can say that we graduated debt free!

I have never heard of this happening before, but I was pretty stoked.

Someone asked me if I was in high school yesterday. I just keep trying to tell myself that someday that will be a compliment.

Officially Done

As an update, Chris left for his camping trip on Wednesday, got about 60 miles from the house and threw up three times on the side of the road. Lovely. Needless to say, he didn't end up going and has been sitting at home watching X-Files for three days. Also, this means it probabaly wasn't food poisoning for those critics of my cooking out there.

Today he had to go into Salem Hills High to turn in his keys and finish up his last student teaching stuff. He went in, finished his stuff, told his co-operating teacher that he was still suffering from "the big D" and said sayonara to his students.

That means he is 100% officially done with college! It just now occurred to me that I should probably think about getitng him a graduation gift.....

 I did tell him that I would make him a cake tonight to celebrate to which he responded that he would rather die than eat cake right now.

Four...

The number of times Chris has woken up in the middle of the night with food poisoning since we have been married. Luckily, he doesn't always pass out on the john like he did very early this morning in the throws of his sickness.

I don't think I could even start to count the number of colds/sinus infections he has had. It looks like I married a very sickly, albeit awesome, man.

He is doing much better by the way...even decided he needed to go camping tonight instead of stay home and rest.

Senior Celebration

On Friday night, BYU hosted a senior celebration for those who are graduating this year. Although I haven't been to a BYU hosted party since my first few weeks in the dorms, (you learn quick) we thought we would venture there with some friends from the ward. After all, there was free dinner, bowling, and a raffle.

Chris was VERY disappointed that he did not win something in the raffle. Too bad.

All in all, though, a good time was had by all.

This is my pseudo-child, Taylor. I am just excited becuase she finally recognizes me after living next door for a year and a half and wil let me hold her. Yes! Don't judge, she just got finished eating Cheetos.

So happy together.

Stargazing

No better way to spend a Thursday night than helping a friend complete an astronomy assignment. We headed out into the great unknown of Eureka, Utah for some stargazing and chocolate chip cookies.

All in all, a good time, except we stayed up past my bedtime which is never a good time for anyone involved.

In other news, a guy named Stony Winterton called me today. Sounds like he was made for weather reporting.

Lil' Rachie is Home

It was my pleasure to welcome Hermanan Rachel Gilman home from Argentina this last week.

I love this girl. We lived together in a flooded basement for four months (which was pure hell) and we also lived together in London in a fancy flat (which was heaven). It is nice to have her home!

Christopher was also excited.

We were very excited about the Mate (tea) she brought home....I did not partake.

Also, is it strange that I look better in pictures when I am making weird faces? Hmm....food for thought.

We had a little BBQ in between sessions on Saturday with the Linns. Oh why do I love hamburgers so much?

Chris then proceeded to pretend that he wasn't doing this for the rest of the weekend....

Festival of Colors

This weekend was our fourth annual trip to the Hare Krishna temple in Spanish Fork for the Festival of Colors, a Hindu festival celbrating Spring and rebirth. As always, a good time was had by all.

I think this is one of Chris' favorite "holidays." He loves to dance and sing and jump around like a kid and I can't tell you how often he wants to go down to the temple to buy clothes and incense.

We went with Ashlee, Ty, and Missy and just last night I blew some purpole boogers out of my nose still. Oh, the joy.
